NEW WEBSITE POSTINGS
June releases of the RKC Reporter and weekly Fax of Life publications have been posted to the Newsletters/Publications page.
A link to the recently upgraded Rosemead Key Club website now exists in the right sidebar and on the KEY Club History page.
There are also updated listings on the Spiritual Organizations page on the right sidebar.
6/06 ROSEMEAD RESOURCE MAGAZINE RELEASED
The Summer, 2006 issue of the Rosemead Resource Magazine has been distributed to Rosemead residents. An online version is available for download by clicking here. The Rosemead Summer recreation schedules are included and our website Education and Recreation page has been updated accordingly.
CITY MANAGER INSTITUTES WEBSITE, WEEKLY REPORT
New Rosemead City Manager Andy Lazzeretto has instituted a first-ever city website, cityofrosemead.org, and a weekly "Green Sheet" report on city activities. Expect a more detailed report in the RKC Reporter.
KIWANIS HONORS SCIENCE OLYMPIAD TEAM
The Muscatel Middle School Science Olympiad team finished 16th in the National competition last month; Rosemead Kiwanis hosted a congratulatory banquet on June 1 at California Mission Inn in addition to featuring the team in the May RKC Reporter.

MUSCATEL WINS CALIF STATE SCIENCE OLYMPIAD
4/1/06 – 10:15 pm - Kiwanian Dean Wharton, Principal of Muscatel Middle School. reports:
"Just arrived home from South
Orange County (Tesoro High School) where I proudly watched the Muscatel
Science Olympiad Team win the State competition.
"With the victory we automatically qualify for the National competition at
the University of Indiana on May 19 & 20. It is a terrific story and a great
day for Muscatel."

Rosemead Kiwanis Meeting Schedule for April posted! Click here! Included are meetings at Don Bosco Tech and Rosemead high school, a debate on the proposed park non-smoking ordinance, Red Cross disaster preparedness, and a fashion show.
Michael DeGuzman of the Mission Community Methodist church has supplied us with a link to his congregation's new website! Its been added to the church's listing on the spiritual links page.
The "Fax of Life" weekly inspirational homilies for February and March have now all been posted - including one contributed by Rosemead Kiwanis's own Frank Dinoto! Click here!
The Winter series of RIF (Reading is Fundamental) programs is underway at numerous Rosemead schools, including expansion to Willard, Shuey, and Sanchez elementary schools plus the Lincoln Training Center for adults.
Major attention was garnered by the Willard School's "Literary Circus," which included live acts, booths, and co-sponsorship with outside groups.
Rosemead Kiwanis after-school program has been doubly honored this month: a Golden Apple Award and a PTA Council award.
Introductory letters have been sent and phone contact is underway relative to the interfaith update initiative for healthycity.org and the 211 data base as reported in the April, 2006 issue of the RKC Reporter
