NEWS

MACY’S/RIF OFFER DISCOUNT: Donate $3 to RIF as a Macy’s customer during August and you’ll receive a $10 discount on a purchase of $50 or more – that’s a synopsis of the attached flyer supplied by Kiwanian Susan Coscarelli, who also heads RIF-SoCal. Last year from this promotion RIF So-Cal received over $100,000 – as excellent as this was, the need this year is even greater. A flyer with details was attached to last week’s issue of the RKC Reporter.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH CELEBRATION: Approximately 200 guests witnessed presentation of service certificates to fifteen veteran Rosemead Neighborhood Watch block captains at the Rosemead Safety Center Tuesday night by various elected officials.  The event was part of a nationwide 25th anniversary celebration of Neighborhood Watch with supper supplied by Target, a national Neighborhood Watch sponsor.  It was interesting to see that fully one-third of the recipients were RKC/RKN members or family members. We also added twenty new names to the RKC Reporter email list  WELCOME TO THE NEW RECIPIENTS,
