NEWS
Neighborhood Watch Rejuvenation – A revival of the
The original Rosemead Watch program was in the
early nineties a joint project of the Kiwanis sponsored KEY Club, Rosemead
Interfaith Council, Sheriff’s Department and the City of
Neighborhood Watch is important in our view to
facilitate four objectives: crime prevention, disaster preparedness, shut-in
awareness, and neighborhood/ community communication. According to
2008-2009 Kiwanis President Elect Bob Bruesch we will be making this effort a
project in the forthcoming year.
Wal-Mart awards Grant to
Clipper’s Discount – The invitation to
attend the April 6 game of the Los Angeles Clippers against the Houston Rockers
at discounts from regular prices is still open. . Depending on seating tickets
are available to
Kiwanis Club members and guests for $60, $50 or $20 (discounts of $25, $10 and
$10 respectively). Note:
each adult ticket now carries with it a bonus – a free ticket for a school age
child!
